SETE QUEDAS PARA SEMPRE

Conhecemos o Parque Nacional de Sete Quedas no final dos anos 70 - quando se falava de utilizar o potencial hidrelétrico do rio Paraná e suas quedas, para a construção da "maior usina hidroelétrica do mundo". Vivíamos ainda sob o regime autoritário e o projeto Itaipú foi imposto pela tecnocracia - em vez do Projeto Sete Quedas, de autoria do Eng.° Marcondes Ferraz, que fora apresentado ao governo constitucional de João Goulart (que previa a utilização do potencial energético, de forma a preservar o Parque Nacional de 7 Quedas e evitar a inundação de milhares de km2 de terras férteis (desterrando milhares de famílias e a tribo dos índios Avá Guaranis). Ficamos admirados com a beleza e grandeza de Sete Quedas - que eram as maiores quedas do mundo, em volume d'água. Desde então fizemos várias visitas, conhecemos em Guaira outros defensores do Parque Nacional. Formamos um grupo de ambientalistas para defender as cachoeiras, que ganhou o nome de SETE QUEDAS PARA SEMPRE. Em 1982, ano em que a destruição teve início, gravamos a música 7 Quedas para Sempre, que foi finalista no 6° Festival de Música Ecológica de Piracicaba, patrocinado pelo SESC - Serviço Social do Comércio/SP. A composição musical da trilha sonora do presente trabalho , a música chamada 7 Quedas Para Sempre é de Marisa Lugli e Rosangela Campi , com arranjo de Antonio Hélio Teixeira da Silva. A música é interpretada pelo Grupo Nova Dantzig, de Cambé-PR. Tanto os slides (fotos) como a letra da música é de autoria de José Julio de Azevedo - na época jornalista na Folha de S.Paulo e colaborador na Revista Planeta. As fotos foram tiradas em diversas viagens a Guaira - quando ficavamos acampados junto a casa de Pedemar Maraguara Porã - índio Ipixuna do norte do Amazonas, que ali viva. Na ocasião ele nos deu um depoimento que foi publicado por Ednilton Lampião (de grata memória) na Revista Planeta. Juntamente com outras entidades ambientalistas, especialmente de São Paulo, buscamos sensibilizar a população, bem como intervir junto ao Governo Federal - que alegava a irreversibilidade do projeto Itaipu. Durante a realização do "Quarup Sete Quedas" (movimento conformista) membros do Grupo Nova Dantzig, inclusive o autor destas fotos, foram detidos pela PF, e liberados em seguida.

SEVEN FALLS FOREVER

We met the National park of the 7 Falls in the end of the seventies - when it was already spoken about using the hydroelectric potential of the river Paraná and their falls, for the construction of the "larger hydroelectric plant of the world." We still lived under the authoritarian regime and the project Itaipú was imposed by the technocracy - instead of the Project Seven Falls - of Eng.° Marcondes Ferraz, that had been introduced to the constitutional government of João Goulart (that foresaw the form use to preserve 7 falls and to avoid the flood of thousands of km2 of fertile lands). We were admired with the beauty and greatness of Seven Falls - that were the largest falls of water of the world, in volume of water. Ever since
we visited, we knew in Guaira other defenders of the National park. We formed a group of environmentalists for to defend the waterfalls, that it won the name of SEVEN FALLS FOREVER. In 1982, year in that the destruction had beginning, we recorded the music 7 Falls forever, that it was finalist in the 6° Festival of Ecological Music of Piracicaba, sponsored by SESC - Social service of Comércio/SP. The musical composition of the soundtrack of the present work, the music called 7 Quedas Para Always it is of Marisa Lugli and Rosangela Campi - the arrangement had the participation of Silva's Antonio Hélio Teixeira. The music is interpreted by the Group New Dantzig, of Cambé-PR. So much the slides (pictures) as the letter of the music it is of authorship of José Julio of Azevedo - at that time journalist in the Leaf of S.Paulo. The pictures were féitas in several trips Guaira - when we were camped house of Pedemar Maraguara Porã - Indian Ipixuna of the north of Amazon, that there lives.
